Operations Supervisor

Mr. Frosty is a Western Canada Ice Cream & Concessions Group that specializes in Street Vending, Park, Stadium & Arena Concessions and food services at Events.

We are currently considering applications for a seasonal Operations Supervisor at our Vancouver, BC Vending operation.

This seasonal position starts in mid April and continues until the second week of September 2011. The position involves the recruitment, training and deployment of ice cream vending truck drivers, the procurement of special event contracts and subsequent planning, staffing and operation of the event activities.

Daily activities include:

- opening of the depot in the morning
- deployment of drivers
- coordination of cart and event activities
- opening inventory
- restocking of warehouse inventory
- pick up of supplies
- clerical and other office responsibilities
- preperation of activity reports
- repairing and/or securing repairs to vehicles
- check in of drivers and closing of depot at the end of the day

The Operations Supervisor reports to the District Manager.

The Ideal candidate has:

- (a) previous Ice Cream Vending Experience or (b) fast food crew chief or swing/assistant manager experience.
- Supervisory skills
- good math skills
- cash handling experience
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to defuse high tension situations
- excellent problem solving skills
- Experience with Microsft Windows, Excel & Word as well as Quickbooks
- Food Safe, Serve Safe or equivlant food handlers certificate
- a clean Driving Record and accident history report
- no problem clearing a criminal record review
- no issues with long days and weird working hours
- an open schedule for the seasonal term.

We realize that this is a long list and that most people will not meet all of the items listed. In the past persons successful in this position have been both recent high school grads and seasoned semi retired individuals.
